PRINT GUIDE
Blue Safety Line & Yellow Bleed Line
Your background artwork must continue underneath BOTH guide areas. Only text, logos and other important elements need to stay away from them.
YELLOW = BLEEDBackgrounds, photos and full-page artwork MUST fill this area all the way to the outer edge. This area may be trimmed during production.
BLUE = SAFETYYour background should continue underneath this area too, but keep all text, logos and important elements inside the blue safety line so they are not cropped.
BACKGROUND → EXTEND TO THE OUTER EDGE.TEXT / LOGOS / IMPORTANT DETAILS → KEEP INSIDE THE BLUE SAFETY LINE.

Your Admin changes are saved automatically in this browser. When your packages, templates, variants, PNG pages, feature settings, Handy Extras or branding are ready, export them for Shopify below.

This identifies the template set inside Shopify and future .DSK project files.
For Shopify: this downloads diskcrafters-designer-data.js. In Shopify go to Edit code → Assets and replace the existing file with it. You only need this one file for normal Admin/template updates.
Standalone HTML export
Only use this if you want a separate standalone customer HTML file. It is not needed for normal Shopify updates.
Master Backup & Transfer
Use this when moving the private Master to another PC or as a safety backup. The backup includes packages, template PNGs, variants, Handy Extras, branding, template settings and uploaded custom fonts.
New PC: copy this Master HTML to the new computer, open it in Chrome, then choose Restore Master Data and select your .dcmaster backup file.
Add Package
Add Template
Use for Thermal Silver or other black/greyscale-only print types. Customer preview and exported artwork are forced to monochrome.
Turn off tools customers do not need for this template.
Choose Reuse if another template already uses the exact PNG guide or page set you need.
Choose one PNG for a normal template, or select several PNGs together for a multi-page template such as a 4 or 8 page booklet. All pages must be the same pixel size.
Artwork canvases automatically use the uploaded PNG's exact pixel width and height. At 300 DPI, the admin preview also shows the corresponding physical size in millimetres.

Branding
No custom logo uploaded yet.
The uploaded logo appears in the software header for customers.
Licensed / Premium Fonts
Upload fonts you own and are licensed to embed on your website. They will be published to the customer font menu with your Shopify data export.
Only upload a commercial font if your licence permits website/webfont embedding and customer-facing use.
Handy Extras
Upload useful reusable assets such as the Compact Disc logo. Customers can add them from the Handy Extras button inside the editor.

DiskCrafters Artwork Designer — Customer Use Only
This proprietary designer is provided only for DiskCrafters customers creating artwork with official DiskCrafters templates for products supplied or manufactured by DiskCrafters.
Permitted:
Use it to prepare artwork for DiskCrafters products.
Not permitted:
Do not copy, extract, adapt, redistribute or reuse the software, code, templates or guides, including for another printer, manufacturer, competitor or third-party service.
Misuse:
DiskCrafters may reasonably suspend or restrict access where copying, extraction or other unauthorised use is suspected.
By continuing, you acknowledge these restrictions. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Add Barcode
Enter 12 digits and the check digit will be calculated automatically, or enter a complete valid 13-digit EAN.
Add QR Code
The QR is generated directly in your browser and stays sharp at print size. Shorter content generally produces an easier-to-scan code.

Admin Login
This prototype uses a local password gate. The production website should use server-side authentication so the admin area cannot be bypassed by inspecting the page source.
Manage Template Pages
Customer page order and names
Drag pages or use the arrows to choose the order customers see them. Give each page a clear name such as Front Cover, Inside Left, Inside Right or Back Cover. These names also appear in the editor and exported page filenames.

Use Template in Another Pack
No PNG upload needed. This adds the existing template, its PNG page(s), page names and settings to the selected package. The new entry can then be edited separately.
Add Template Variant
Leave blank to copy the current variant's template PNG(s). You can replace them later.
Turn this on for Thermal Silver or another black/greyscale-only print type.
