CLEAR JEWEL CASE
ESSENTIAL CD BUNDLE
Choir albums, school productions and local performance recordings deserve clear audio, legible track details and a package that reflects the occasion. You may be producing for performers, parents or a limited group of supporters rather than a mass audience.
Choose a booklet jewel case for credits and programme notes or a simple sleeve for affordable event distribution. DiskCrafters manufactures printed CDs in quantities that fit the project.
Live starting totals read from product options, so you can compare the overall cost rather than an isolated per-disc headline.

Prepare track notes, artist names, performance audio and artwork safely.
A concert or performance is often a one-time occasion. A physical CD can preserve the recording in a format that is easy to give to a performer, supporter or audience member, while the printed case can carry the names, date and context of the event. For choirs, ensembles and community groups, that combination makes the disc more than a transfer of audio files: it becomes a document of the work.
Many performance recordings are created for a clearly defined audience rather than a national retail market. A school concert might need copies for a small number of families; a choir may prefer a modest fundraiser quantity; a recital might call for one presentation copy before more are ordered. DiskCrafters has no minimum order across its standard CD products, so the quantity can follow real interest.
A printed cardboard sleeve is practical for a straightforward performance album or event handout. The front can display the concert image and title, while the rear carries a concise track list, performers' name and date. It is compact and easy to distribute, though it does not offer the same space for programme notes as a conventional jewel case.
If the recording includes multiple movements, conductors, soloists, ensembles and a long list of credits, choose a jewel case with a suitable printed booklet. The booklet can include photographs, programme notes and acknowledgements. A clear tray may also provide space for additional internal artwork. Think through how much information the recipient needs before settling on the packaging style.
Start with the most useful information: the title of the performance, recording date, location where appropriate, track names and the performers involved. A choir album may also contain a short introduction by the director, notes on the repertoire or a list of acknowledgements. Arrange the content so it is easy to read at the small size of a CD booklet; long paragraphs and tiny fonts are rarely a good combination.
Photographs, names and programme text should be approved by the relevant organisers before printing. For school projects, be particularly careful with identifiable children, personal information and permissions for image use. Use the correct booklet page count and template rather than sending a PDF intended for A4 printing. The disc face, case insert and booklet are separate print items with their own dimensions.
A standard audio CD is intended to play in compatible CD players. That is a different format from a data CD containing MP3 files. Confirm which deliverable your group needs, then prepare the final audio mix and track sequence accordingly. Check whether applause, introductions or pauses should form separate tracks, and verify that the recording is complete before it is submitted for duplication.
Well-organised filenames, a clear track list and consistent levels make the preparation easier. DiskCrafters offers basic audio checks as part of its production workflow, but it does not replace the creative decisions involved in mixing and mastering a live performance. If the recording contains several microphones or challenging room acoustics, the audio should be professionally prepared before the CDs are manufactured.
A recording may involve rights in the musical compositions, lyrics, particular arrangements, performances, artwork or accompanying photographs. Owning the file that contains a concert recording does not automatically mean you are authorised to reproduce and sell every work performed. Before distributing CDs, the school, choir or organiser should check which rights and permissions are required for the project.
This matters especially when an edition includes cover versions, third-party photographs or identifiable children. Make sure the relevant people and rights holders have authorised any intended reproduction, distribution and use of personal information. DiskCrafters manufactures the audio and artwork supplied by the customer, so the organisation remains responsible for ensuring it has appropriate authority to reproduce that material.
A fundraising CD should be budgeted around confirmed or reasonably expected demand. Ask performers or supporters whether they would be interested before choosing the quantity, and consider whether the event has a fixed audience or whether discs will continue to sell afterwards. You do not need to start with hundreds: a small run can give the group a tangible result without tying up funds in unsold stock.
Look at the complete cost of the chosen package, not only the per-disc figure shown for a much larger run. For example, a booklet jewel case may be better for a formal concert album, while a card sleeve could support an economical community recording. If the group intends to raise funds, compare the manufacturing and delivery cost with a realistic selling price.
The artwork should quickly explain what the recording contains. Use a readable title, appropriate contrast and a clear track list. For groups with several performers or choirs, structure the information so that names and roles are easy to find. When the recording is a gift or keepsake, include the date and a thoughtful image that captures the occasion without overcrowding the front cover.
Check all the facts before approving print files. Misspelt performer names, incorrect movement titles or the wrong concert date are difficult to correct after manufacturing. Use the supplied artwork templates for the disc, booklet and rear insert. If an organiser does not have access to suitable design software, ask about the artwork designer and support services rather than guessing the physical dimensions.
Choirs and schools often need recordings by a specific concert, end-of-term date or celebration. Manufacturing cannot begin until the final audio and artwork are ready, and the time needed depends on the selected packaging, quantity and workshop workload. Delivery time must be allowed for after production. Discuss the actual required date with DiskCrafters before checkout if it cannot be moved.
A one-off proof can be useful for checking booklet legibility, case design and the final track order. After approval, the group can choose a quantity appropriate for the expected audience. For later editions, keep the final approved audio and artwork together so a repeat order can be prepared from the same material. DiskCrafters manufactures in Greater Manchester and arranges shipping to the selected UK or international destination.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Diskcrafters are quite literally the best in the entire industry. Being on demand, affordable, based in the UK, all with insane customisation like the option for metadata, genuine Digipaks, Vinyl-style CDs, and Clear jewel cases, it’s easy to see why I rate them so highly. All of these seem like basic necessities for a normal CD, and yet the market nowadays seemed so deprived of it until Diskcrafters came along.
