The classic ‘Maxi’ or Single CD Case was everywhere throughout the 1990s, most commonly used for CD singles and maxi single releases, hence the name!

In 2026, DiskCrafters is the only short run CD service offering these cases. Each one is supplied with a double sided printed J Card with die cut notches, just like the original commercial releases.

Maxi cases have become extremely expensive and difficult to source, which is why virtually all short run manufacturers and even most larger factories no longer offer them. We decided to bring them back. Despite the high cost of sourcing the cases, we have deliberately kept our pricing comparable to products such as our Digifile and Black Tray Jewel Case. In fact, the Maxi Case is probably one of our lowest margin products.
